As if Truffles and heart-shaped sweets of all flavors or not enough to make your stomach ache, being dumped on Valentine's Day will. Ironically, I'm not talking about me... It's with great remorse that I tell the tale that I dumped someone or- rather ended a fling since we were never official on Valentine's Day. "Oh my gosh how can you live with yourself! You tell these stories about how terrible guys are to you..." Well I never said I was an angel either. Do you think that Taylor Swift made millions of dollars off of songs that she was completely innocent in a two player game that went south? I'm telling the story to be real. I wish to convey authenticity because every story on here is a hundred percent true. This poor boy... He was into me I was into him but definitely didn't see anything long-term. Begged me to hold me in his arms and how could I say no to that? So we grabbed take out and cuddled with God knows what movie on. He asked the begrudging question of "what are we?" And I froze. Apparently silence is also an answer. He kissed me once more and left. I felt terrible but I also didn't want to lead him on and honestly regretted agreeing to the whole thing. Lesson learned so this Valentine's Day I spent it alone. Well, aren't you a peach? For the crust that will possibly crack, like you did his heart, combine half a cup of Crisco, 1 stick of salted butter, and 2 and a half cups of flour into a food processor. Add the flour gradually while alternating with 5 tablespoons of cold water (ice cold, like your heart). Separate into two balls. Roll and place one in pie pan. Bake on 375 for 10 mins. Then set aside. Roll out other ball of dough.
Right next to your frozen heart, grab 16oz bag of frozen peaches and mix with 3/4 c sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 Tbs lemon juice, and 1/3 c brown sugar. Arrange in pie crust and place flat crust atop. Cut a heart out with a paring knife like you did his and dispose of properly (nom nom nom). Paint with 1/2 stick of melted butter like he used to melt for you. Bake for 55 minutes. Happy Valentine's ya filthy animal.
