Oatmeal Raisins
Names can say a lot about someone, vastly based on prior experience with that name. Another alluring feature of a name can be the semantics. Cookie, for example, is not a globally utilized term. England and Australia use the term biscuits, while Spaniards coined the word galletas to illustrate this tasty treat. Biscuit comes from the Latin word bis coctum, which means, “twice baked.” The Dutch had the most relatable word to the term Americans use, which is koekje, meaning “little cake.” The most popular Italian words for cookies are amaretti and biscott. The German terms for Christmas cookies are keks or Plzchen, Regardless of what you call them, they are just as easily devoured. In the metaphor of types of girls as types of cookies, Oatmeal Raisin is a type of cookie everyone has encountered whether casually or in pursuit of love. This cookie is the alma mater of grandmas everywhere. Very old-fashioned and usually always at the bottom of the jar when all other cookies have been chosen. This cookie is sweet-- sure, but not satisfying enough for it to be the only cookie to enjoy for the rest of your life. Oatmeal's typically have plain conversations, plain aspirations, plain routines of their day-to-day life, and plain intimacy. I don't solely mean physically; even their divulging of secrets and inner depths of their past is plain. There is absolutely no spark with these cookies and it's pretty much fair to say, they are not the greatest kissers. These girls are good for someone but just not enough to take on a second date or even commit to memory. To someone, somewhere, everyone has been an oatmeal. You just weren't what they were looking for or your morals/interests/passions didn't quite line up. Even the container for oats has a santa-esque grandpa on the cover. Good ole Quaker probably has solid, nutritional intentions but luring the wrong crowd. I certainly wouldn't want to admit that the man on the oatmeal box (or cylinder for us bakers) was my one and only. Although I would love to say the names of cookies was basic knowledge, here is the source I found that scrumptious information: https://whatscookingamerica.net/History/CookieHistory.htm

Oh, you'll "taste the rainbow" alright...Skittles This must be a mistake. Skittles in a cookie? They are great to find in your Halloween bucket and certainly to partake in the occasional bag you can scoop up in the check out line, (especially tropical) but they should never, under any circumstances be added to a recipe. They would be chewy and the colors would bleed through the rest of the cookie and disturb the flavors of the dough. Exactly. Skittles are pretty, a 10 out of 10 on the hottness scale. They're luring with their bright colors and their obvious flavor but, didn't your mama ever teach you, "things are more than they appear" or "looks aren't everything?" That statement will never have reigned so true until you have tasted this cookie. There's hardly a guy that isn't attracted to her. She can't go anywhere without being showered with compliments or begged for her digits. But, underneath all that beauty is typically a whole lot of ugly or at least a lack of consistency, confusion. Any guy that pursues her needs to keep his eyes fixed on his rear-view mirror; there is always someone trying to pursue her and quite frankly, she wouldn't have it any other way. Did I mention...they have mastered the art of deception. Can you pick out the two Skittles from. the two M'nMs?Girls are sweet– there's no doubt about that. There are however, so many varieties of sweetness, they consume two full aisles in grocery stores. This statement could also be said about women; they comprise the majority of the human race and although are each different, they possess certain ingredients that make them classifiable. If you revisit my first blog post ever, you'll see my metaphor for types of guys in the dating field as the children's game in which you sort wooden blocks through the lid with 4 shape cut outs. Even fully-grown, they still have juvenile tendencies and maturity hiccups. I'm not saying girls aren't immature too but, there are scientific journals and studies that have proven men just mature later, (if completely at all). I'm not being sexist or bitter towards men, it's just science; like our buddy Billy Nye says, "Science rules." Women are typically more mature but are usually pretty open with their flaws. I feel the best way to illustrate the main types of girls you will encounter in the dating world is: types of cookies. Their shapes are never the same, yet they are judged in the selection process based on that shape. Think of the last cookie you had off of a hot cookie sheet. Did you pick the largest one? One with the most chocolate chips? One with the least amount of nuts? Gooiest one? Tiny one, crisped along the edges? Appearance, in addition to their contents, is the way cookies/women are selected. In their complex nature, women will naturally have more types of cookies than just 4 and although sweet in principal, some have more of a bite than others.
